Elidaisy Y. Ortuno is an Associate Attorney at Elida Pineda Law Firm PLLC. She earned her Bachelor\u2019s degree from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, where she was also a student-athlete for all four years. She later obtained her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston in May 2025.<\/p>\n

During law school, Elidaisy participated in the Human Trafficking and Asylum Clinic, where she gained hands-on experience with the complexities of immigration law, including work on asylum, T-visa, and U-visa applications. She also participated in the Immigration Clinic, assisting with family-based petitions. Additionally, she volunteered with Catholic Charities, where she gained valuable experience working directly with clients and assisting with naturalization (N-400) applications.<\/p>\n

Elidaisy became licensed to practice law in Texas in October 2025. Coming from a Mexican-American background, she is deeply committed to serving the immigrant community by using her cultural background and bilingual skills to advocate for her clients.
